Jackfruit is a tropical fruit native to India. A member of the fig, mulberry, and breadfruit family, the jackfruit tree produces the largest tree-borne fruit in the world. A single tree can produce over 200 fruits per year, some weighing up to 100 pounds, which makes jackfruit an extremely sustainable, high-yield food.
Young jackfruit is deliciously meaty in texture and has no sugar. It has the right amount of satisfaction for main dishes, making it a great swap for beef, pork, and chicken.
You bet your burger buns it is! A lot of meat substitutes are made from highly processed foods, but not jackfruit. As a whole food, jackfruit doesn’t need any macro or micronutrients added. It’s an excellent natural source of fiber, protein, potassium, iron, and calcium. Beyond that, it’s low in calories, sodium, and contains zero cholesterol or unhealthy fats.

We work with more than 1,000 farming families in India to source our high-quality jackfruit.
We train our farmers to identify the right quality jack according to our specifications. Once the plants are delivered to factories, each jackfruit is inspected twice by trained factory workers before it’s selected for further processing.
